His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, said that the UAE, led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, is interested in supporting initiatives and efforts aimed at promoting human fraternity and global solidarity. He added that this approach made it a global civilization model of openness and coexistence. His Highness stressed that tolerance is the cornerstone of building societies of mutual understanding, cooperation, coexistence, respect and acceptance of the other, and this is what has characterized the UAE society since its inception.
This came during the reception of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, members of the Supreme Committee to achieve the goals of the “Human Brotherhood Document”, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the document signed by His Eminence the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and His Holiness Pope Francis Baba the Catholic Church, last year.
His Highness welcomed the delegation and exchanged talks with him on the importance of uniting efforts and mutual cooperation to achieve the goals of the “Human Brotherhood Document” in spreading the values of tolerance and coexistence, and building bridges of brotherhood and human harmony.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed during the meeting, the UAE’s keenness to continue working to achieve the goals of the document in building human brotherhood and coexistence, which constitutes a basis and basis for establishing the pillars of peace, security, stability and development for the peoples of the world.
For their part, the members of the committee expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and valued the support provided by the Emirates to the committee, and stressed that the committee will make every effort to achieve the aspirations of the world in implementing the principles of the Human Brotherhood Document, in a way that guarantees the achievement of goodness and happiness for all people.
The Supreme Committee for the Achievement of the Objectives of the Human Fraternity Document includes nine members from the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Italy, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the United States of America and Bulgaria. They are: Chairman of the Committee, Chair of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue in the Holy See, Miguel Angel Ayusu Gixot, and Secretary-General of the Committee Judge Muhammad Abdel Salam The former adviser to His Eminence the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the Chief Rabbi of the Hebrew Council in Washington, Rabbi M.
