Slaps, kicks in the back and punched in the face ... Saturday afternoon, a guard at a supermarket in downtown Metz was guilty of violence against a 17-year-old boy. The miner had just tried to steal a packet of chewing gum before going to the checkout, according to France Bleu Lorraine Nord.
The security guard, whose actions were confirmed by video surveillance, had also stolen the young man's personal effects. His wallet and the rest were recovered with the support of the police.
The vigil was placed in pre-trial detention and will have to explain himself to justice on February 24.
