There are reports that several people fell from the third floor of the school building, the magazine writes.
"We have lost 13 children in this panic and we have others who are being cared for in hospital for their injuries," said David Kabena, Kakamega Police Chief.
It is still unclear what happened and what caused the school children to panic.
