Iowa in the Midwest is the first to choose who you want to see as the Democratic presidential candidate. On Monday, the state held a so-called nomination meeting when meeting within the party to choose one of the aspirants to stand behind.

The rest of the states will follow in the next few weeks and then choose the aspirant you want to see as presidential candidate either through a nomination meeting or a primary election.

Usually, both Democrats and Republicans in each state usually gather to wash out a candidate, but this year there is no serious challenger to Donald Trump within the Republicans. The focus is therefore on the Democrats.

So far, no real favorite has crystallized in the wide starting field and several aspirants may be jumping off already after the Iowa result.
