The Sharjah Misdemeanor Court examined the case of an Asian person accused of assaulting another of his own nationality due to a financial dispute, threatening him with a white weapon, biting him in the neck, and beating him on the shoulder, causing injuries that resulted in the hospital.

Details of the incident date back to the 18th of last December, when the accused was accompanied by his complainant friend in a shop, and there were verbal quarrels between them over a financial dispute, which led the defendant assaulting the victim together on his shoulder near his neck, beating him on his body, and lifting a knife in his possession He then threatened to stab him in the event he was not given the money that they agreed upon, so the victim submitted a report to the police, after he went to the nearest hospital to receive treatment, the accused was arrested, and the Public Prosecution referred him to the judiciary for trial. The court confronted the accused with the charges against him, and he denied the assault and the threat, and said that he does not mention any of the incident.

The court decided to postpone the case to the February 23 session to summon the victim and witnesses, to hear their statements and confront them with the statements of the accused.
