A new corona confirmer has been launched on the large Japanese cruise ship Diamond Princess, and quarantine of more than 3,000 passengers has been underway since last night.
The infection was confirmed by an 80-year-old man who arrived in Hong Kong last month.
Dozens of quarantine officers are now on board the cruise ship to check their health, and seven of the passengers reportedly reported fever and other symptoms.
The World Cruise Line Association has banned passengers and crew from traveling to mainland China within 14 days prior to cruise departure.
