Four Turkish soldiers were killed and nine wounded, one of them seriously, in bombing by the Syrian government forces in Idlib, northwestern Syria, today, Monday, after 11 civilians were killed as a result of aerial bombardments by the Syrian regime forces on Atareb city in Aleppo countryside and Sarmin town in rural Idlib.

The ministry added that the Turkish forces responded to the attack and destroyed targets in the Idlib area, explaining that the Syrian forces carried out the bombing despite notifying the locations of the Turkish forces in advance.

For his part, the civil defense in the areas controlled by the opposition said that the number of displaced people reached about two hundred thousand during six days of fighting.

Military reinforcements
On Sunday evening, the Turkish army sent special forces soldiers (commandos) to its military units deployed on the border with Syria in the southern Hatay state.

A convoy of armored vehicles carrying soldiers from the commandos arrived in Qoreq Khan district of Hatay, heading to the Rayhaniya district, adjacent to the Idlib governorate.

Earlier today, the Turkish army sent 15 military trucks carrying two-meter-long concrete barricades to Rihaniyya.

This comes amid the continued progress of the Syrian government forces in the areas of pro-Turkish armed opposition control, in Idlib and Aleppo.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Russia last week of not abiding by the agreements that aim to end violence in Syria, especially in Idlib.

He added that "Turkey is running out of patience with regard to the bombing of Idlib, and we will do what we deem necessary, if Russia does not stop the attacks by the Syrian government forces on Idlib."
