The accident occurred on Saturday evening around 9 p.m. on a departmental road in Ain, towards the town of Villemotier. A car, in which a couple and their four children were, made a road trip for an unexplained reason.
The vehicle deviated from its path to end up in a ditch on the side. One of the children, a six-month-old baby, died in the evening from his injuries, reveals Le Progrès . He was in a worrying state when help arrived.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the family returned to Besançon where they reside. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
