Sex educator Inti Chavez Perez, who has specialized knowledge in andrology, has followed the trend of male sterilization in Sweden and globally. He believes that the trend is a continuation of the feminist struggle and equality.

In 2015, approximately 1,451 men in Sweden underwent vasectomy, in 2018 the number had doubled to almost 2,655.

In the country's three largest regions, the trend is most evident in Stockholm, where the number of men who sterilized has more than doubled. In 2015, the number was 260 and in 2018, 854 men chose to do a vasectomy, according to statistics from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
