It was in December and January last winter that the students, under the guidance of staff from Sveaskog, felled 1.3 hectares in the nature reserve. The forest in Rismyrbrånet's nature reserve is considered to be worthy of protection and both harvesting, forest conservation is prohibited.
Prosecutors have investigated the case as a violation of area protection and have issued a company fine of SEK 100,000 to Sveaskog.
