The news of the death of a 23-year-old "Ahmed Samir", inside the training center of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, during his military service, caused anger among Egyptian activists on social media.

According to his mother, Mrs. Samah Salem, Ahmad, who holds a bachelor’s degree in applied arts, died very well with honors, after he was struck by a cause of internal bleeding. However, he was denied treatment and his family was not informed until eight days after his imprisonment, which led to his death.

The mother described her son as a martyr, calling on God to take away from his oppressors, as his brother wrote obituary to him, while he wrote dozens of relatives and friends of the young man and hundreds of Egyptians who may not know him, who wrote about the topic, criticizing what happened.

Most of the commentators on the social networking site Facebook focused on criticizing the current authority in Egypt, and the dangers that befell its citizens, especially opponents of the current authority.

On Twitter, the activists tweeted in a similar direction

My friend, not brothers, nor political activist, greed for a coup, nor within Ultras whose goal is to sabotage his country. My boy is a graduate of applied arts, and Iyadbek has been 23 years old. He is still dreaming and I still want to live.
He was recruited at the Ministry of Interior, so they killed him in the training center # Haq_Ahmad_Sameer. He must return, and the words that came on the tongue were born by God, have mercy and patience on them pic.twitter.com/Sxdno6PVVa

It is noteworthy that the deceased young man, Ahmed Samir, was born on September 24, 1996, in the city of El-Mahalla El-Kubra, in the western governorate of northern Egypt.

Compulsory military service is imposed on every Egyptian who has completed eighteen years of age, and its duration is three years, to one year for graduates of universities and higher institutes, and two years for intermediate diplomas, and those who fall behind are punished with imprisonment and a fine, or one of them.

Sometimes some of the recruits for compulsory military service are trained in police work, as was the case in the Central Security Forces, which have had a major role in policing and countering demonstrations in recent years.
