Uzbekistan suspended air traffic with China in connection with coronavirus

“Since February 1, Uzbekistan temporarily suspended flights with China because of the coronavirus. There is a decision of a special government commission, ”the agency’s representative said.

He also said that on January 29, on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a commission was created to study the situation in the country and abroad in connection with the outbreak of a new type of coronavirus.

Earlier, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adan Gebreisus, said that WHO recognized the outbreak of coronavirus 2019-nCoV in China as an emergency of international importance.
