Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that the Syrian armed opposition started a military operation, which it described as wide, against the western neighborhoods of Aleppo.

For its part, the Syrian News Agency (SANA) quoted military sources as saying that the Syrian regime forces repelled and destroyed an attack with four car bombs in the west of the city.

In Idlib countryside, the Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that the opposition gunmen killed dozens of Syrian regime soldiers and the “al-Quds Brigade” militia, while repelling their attempts to advance in the hubs of Luv and Tal Mardikh towns.

These field developments coincided with Russian air strikes on the cities and towns of Saraqib, Nairab, Khan al-Asal, and Atarib in Aleppo and Idlib countryside.

On the other hand, SANA news agency said that the regime forces took control of the villages of Luv and Qamhana at the axis of Ma`rat al-Numan Khan al-Sabil in Idlib countryside.

Al-Jazeera correspondent also reported that an air strike had bombed Al-Huda Hospital in the town of Hoor in the western countryside of Aleppo.

Activists said earlier that the Syrian National Army, which is affiliated with the opposition and supported by Turkey, started this morning the battle of the eastern gate of Aleppo, and managed to control one of the points in the countryside of Al-Bab city.

Reports indicated that violent clashes took place with the regime forces and the militias supporting them, on the axes of al-Daghlabash and Radar al-Sha'ala, in the context of the "burning torque" battle launched by the "National Army" factions.

The reports pointed out that the factions were able to achieve progress and control points in the region, in addition to the capture of at least one member of the regime forces.

On the other hand, the Syrian Network for Human Rights said that more than 186 civilians were killed by regime forces and Russia in Idlib Governorate and Aleppo countryside during the past month.

The network pointed out that it recorded 11 massacres during the past month against civilians, and demanded in its report the UN envoy to Syria, non-Pederson, to condemn the perpetrators of the crimes that undermine the de-escalation agreements.

It is noteworthy that the regime forces recently recovered - with Russian air support - the city of Maarat al-Numan (the second largest city in Idlib) and dozens of towns, as part of a major campaign that contributed to stoking tension between Ankara and Moscow, and raised the specter of a new refugee crisis.
