Around 22:30 on a Friday evening, a man in Övertorneå would be taken care of by the police and taken to the care. But when this happened, the situation should have become threatening, according to police. The patrol used both pepper spray and fired warning shots but despite this the situation continued to be threatening. The police then shot the man in the leg.
The man was then taken to health care. He is also suspected of threatening an official and will be questioned during the day. The police write on their website that the incident will be investigated by the Special Investigations Department (SU).
