More reports of revenge porn - police: "The dark figure is huge"

The relatively new law means that it is punishable to disseminate sensitive information, such as nude images and so-called revenge porn.

However, few are prosecuted for the crime. In Västmanland we have had about 20 cases reported to the police in both 2018 and 2019, but no one has been convicted. According to the police, more people must report in order for the crime to have a higher priority and then more will be prosecuted.

- We already know how vulnerable people who are exposed to this are and how bad they feel, but everyone must also tell that they are exposed to this because otherwise we have a hard time prioritizing this, says Jan Olsson.
