31 January 2020 There have been 134 cases of contagion from Corona viruses confirmed in 24 countries, from Asia to America via Europe and Oceania. In addition to the number of infected people confirmed by the authorities, in many of these countries and in others, tests are underway on dozens of other people to ascertain the presence of the virus in their body and hundreds more are in quarantine or will be as soon as they are repatriated from China . For reasons of geographical proximity, Asia is currently the most involved continent, with 96 confirmed cases in all. In Japan, 14 people have coronaviruses, another 14 in Thailand, 13 in the city state of Singapore, 11 in South Korea, 10 in Hong Kong, 9 in Taiwan, at least 8 in Malaysia, 5 in Vietnam and 5 others in Macau, a case in India, Nepal, Cambodia, the Philippines and Sri Lanka.

To these are added the two cases in Russia. In Oceania, the Australian government has reported 9 confirmed cases. In the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates have announced that 4 Chinese tourists who have arrived in the country, including a 9-year-old girl, have contracted the 2019-nCov, while the Turkish authorities have reported a suspected case. In Europe there are 16 cases so far. In France, the health authorities have registered six sick people in Paris and Bordeaux, the latest being a French doctor infected by tourists who have returned to Asia. In Germany there are 5, all employees of the Webasto company, in Italy there have been two cases of Chinese tourists in Rome, another 2 have been confirmed in Great Britain and one in Finland. In the United States, where there are 6 patients with the pneumonia virus, the first human-to-human infection - an Illinois couple - occurred outside of China. In Canada there are 3 confirmed cases in Toronto and Vancouver.
