Several airlines have made the decision to suspend or reduce their flights to mainland China in the face of the spread of the new coronavirus, which has already killed 170 people.

BRITISH AIRWAYS: The British company announced Wednesday the immediate suspension of all its flights to mainland China, following the recommendation of the United Kingdom to avoid going to the country. LUFTHANSA: The German company announced Wednesday the immediate suspension of all its flights to and from mainland China, until February 9.

IBERIA: the Spanish company announced the suspension from Friday of its service to Shanghai, its only destination in China.

LION AIR: the Indonesian air group which operates the largest fleet in Southeast Asia will suspend its flights to China from February 1. In total, more than 15 Chinese destinations are served by this company or its subsidiary Batik Air. One million Chinese tourists visit Indonesia each year.

THREE BURMA COMPANIES: Myanmar National Airlines, Air KBZ and Myanmar Airways International, the three Burmese companies that connect to China, have announced that they will cut their routes on February 1.

UKRAINE INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES and SKYUP AIRLINES announced the suspension of all flights to China until March 28.

AIR AUSTRAL suspends its flights between Reunion and Canton from February 8 to March 1.

The Russian company URAL AIRLINES, which makes connections to Munich, Paris and Rome, renounces its flights to Europe, massively used for organized trips from China.

AIR MADAGASCAR announced Thursday the suspension of its routes between Antananarivo and Guangzhou from February 1 to March 1.

AIR FRANCE: the French company justified Thursday evening by a request at half mast the reduction of its flights to Beijing and Shanghai from Paris, which will drop from 10 to seven and from 13 to seven respectively. UNITED AIRLINES: the American company announced on Tuesday that it was suspending "certain flights" to Beijing, Shanghai and even Hong Kong between February 1 and 8. The American authorities have advised their nationals not to go to China at this time.

His compatriot AMERICAN AIRLINES also interrupts his flights due to the "significant drop in demand" between Los Angeles and Shanghai and Los Angeles and Beijing from February 9 to March 27. Flights from Dallas / Fort Worth to Beijing and Shanghai are maintained.

CATHAY PACIFIC: the company, the main hub of which is located in Hong Kong international airport, has indicated that it will "gradually reduce" its flights to and from mainland China by at least half. This decision will take effect Thursday, until the end of March.
