Beyond the traditional accent put on the emerging talents of current music, the Printemps de Bourges will be "very vigilant on female creation", explains to AFP Jean-Michel Dupas, programmer of the festival which has unveiled the entirety of its poster .

The big displacements had already been announced on November 21: Catherine Ringer, Alain Souchon, M, Suzane, Philippe Katerine, Roméo Elvis, Izïa, SebastiAn or The Avener. But the 44th edition, from April 21 to 26, has other surprises in store.

This year, a spotlight will be put on "female rap, this poor relative of hip-hop", details Jean-Michel Dupas. Rapper Casey, a veteran with a punchy style and who released a new album - "Gangrene" - on March 6, will be the godmother of an evening with Rap2filles and La Souterraine. These two entities already joined forces in late 2019 for a compilation with 100% girls on the microphone.

The festival will thus offer a stage to "rappers drawn from all over France, who are not pros". Like KLI, who still works at the factory in Maubeuge and recalls his disillusioned loves in his song "On your planet".

- Tributes to Vian, Portishead, Prince -

Among the confirmed artists, there is also Jeanne Added. "She is stamped Printemps de Bourges, we have been following her from the start. And since the time we asked her + when are you paying homage to Prince? +, Of which she is a fan before the eternal: that's it is, she found a small niche in her agenda to do it, "reveals the programmer. The show is called "I fell for you".

There will also be a creation around the mythical album of Portishead, "Dummy", which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2019. This project has as artistic director the electro composer Yan Wagner and presents a nice casting with in particular Lou Doillon and Malik Djoudi .

The year 2020 marks the centenary of the birth of Boris Vian, an evening "We are going to make you bad Boris" - reference to "Do me wrong Johnny" - will allow artists - Tracy de Sá, Songe and Oré - to " dust off his repertoire ", as Jean-Michel Dupas says.

Finally the duo of snipers, Michel Cloup (ex-Diabologum) and Christophe Miossec is also salivating. It is a project between reading and rock around the book "A la ligne" (The Round Table) by Joseph Ponthus, a powerful story drawn from his experience as a temporary worker in the food industry in Brittany, rewarded by the RTL / Read grand prize.
