US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said - in a tweet on Twitter - that he had fruitful discussions with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on recent regional developments.
Pompeo added that Qatar is still a vital partner for his country.
In early January, Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani received a phone call from his US counterpart Mike Pompeo, in which they reviewed bilateral relations and regional issues.
