Will John Bolton empty his bag in front of the senators? New York Times revelations of book to appear in which former national security adviser confirms Donald Trump conditioned aid to Ukraine on investigation of rivals political, were like a bomb. And while senators should vote this Friday to decide whether to call - or not - new witnesses to the trial of Donald Trump, the latter has shot red bullets at John Bolton.

"If I had listened to it, we would be in the middle of the 6th World War. And now he's writing a fake and nasty book? Why did John Bolton not complain about these "nonsense" a long time ago, when he was fired in a very public way. It doesn't - it doesn't matter - NOTHING says, "wrote the President. A neoconservative hawk adept at American interventionism, John Bolton was fired last September amid disagreements with the American president, particularly over North Korea.

.... many more mistakes of judgment, gets fired because frankly, if I listened to him, we would be in World War Six by now, and goes out and IMMEDIATELY writes a nasty & untrue book. All Classified National Security. Who would do this?

Why didn't John Bolton complain about this “nonsense” a long time ago, when he was very publicly terminated. He said, not that it matters, NOTHING!

In the process, the White House banned John Bolton from publishing his book as is. The manuscript sent for approval "appears to contain confidential information" some of which "is classified as top secret" and "could cause exceptionally serious harm to national security", writes the National Security Council in this letter. "The manuscript cannot be published (…) without the removal of this confidential information".

Crucial vote on Friday

In the manuscript of his book, John Bolton, according to the New York Times , would shatter the defense of Donald Trump. While the US president says he did not use US aid as leverage to force President Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden and his son, John Bolton would say the opposite. And he was in the front row and would have taken lots of notes.

These leaks put a little more pressure on Republican senators at the Donald Trump trial. After a question and answer phase on Wednesday and Thursday, the Senate is expected to vote on Friday. Either to decide to hear new witnesses, or to adjourn the debates and vote to condemn or acquit the American president.

The Democrats want to summon John Bolton, but also Donald Trump's chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney. To pass, their motion will need the support of four Republicans to reach an absolute majority of 51 votes. At the moment, the suspense is total. Three moderate Republicans would rather support it: Mitt Romey, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. Others could tip the scales, including Tennessee senator Lamar Alexander, who is about to retire.

According to the American media, the Republican boss Mitch McConnell told his troops on Tuesday that he did not have the votes to block the Democratic motion. But negotiations are continuing, and some Republicans were more optimistic on Wednesday. The chess game continues.
