PACE has finally approved the full powers of Russia, ”he said.
According to the deputy, there was no doubt about this decision of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
He noted that “it was on the conditions of such an outcome of events that the Russian delegation returned in 2019 to work in PACE.”
“However, this decision does not mean that an idyll has come in our relations. The Parliamentary Assembly consists of representatives of different countries and different political forces, including those who occupy an anti-Russian position. Consequently, attacks on our country will continue. But it’s very important to use this political platform in order to defend our national interests and the interests of our friends, in order to work on the configuration of international relations that will be most fair, ”Novikov said.
