A full 20 centimeters of white, fluffy snow is expected to embed Västernorrland in a true winter blanket during Wednesday.
- We have a snowfall area moving upwards during the night from northernmost Svealand and across southern Norrland. We have had a warning about snowfall over the Dalarna during the night, but it has been removed now. But it will still keep snowing, says Moa Hallberg, on-duty meteorologist at SMHI.
The snowfall is particularly dense in Västernorrland, with up to 20 centimeters of fresh snow during the day. In Gävleborg, between five and ten centimeters are expected.
- Off to the coast in the southernmost parts it can be a little softer snow.
The snowfall continues upwards during the day, and towards the evening it reaches the northernmost parts.
Temperatures mean that the snow remains - throughout northern Sweden, it is minus degrees or around zero.
