The Houthi group announced targeting Aramco in Jizan and sensitive targets in the Saudi depth, and said that it had taken control of areas in Marib, Al-Jawf and Naham, in response to what it described as aggression.

"In response to the escalation of the aggression, the missile force and the conducting air force carried out specific operations targeting Aramco in Jizan, Abha and Jizan airports, the Khamis Mushayt base, and sensitive targets in the Saudi rear, with a large number of missiles and drones," said Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sari.

According to Reuters, Aramco declined to comment on the Houthi announcement.

The spokesman announced that a major military attack against Sana'a had been confronted and control of all areas of the Nahham district east of the capital.

"We have taken control of areas in the governorates of Marib and Al-Jouf," he said. He declared the liberation of an area estimated at more than 2,500 square kilometers in length and width in Marib and Al-Jawf, adding that "enemy forces" were allowed to flee in implementation of the directions of the command.

Attacks targeting Aramco oil factories in Abqaiq and Khurais last September halted half of Saudi oil production, which is equivalent to 5% of daily global supplies, which pushed crude prices to rise in international markets, but Riyadh announced on 3 October 2019, it has regained full production capacity (more than 10 million barrels per day) after repairing the damage resulting from the attacks.
