Sharjah Police General Command is investigating an accident in which 21 students in a private school suffered minor injuries as a result of inhaling pesticide residues that were sprayed in the school the night before yesterday, and medical reports confirmed that all student cases are reassuring.

Sharjah Police General Command stated that 21 cases of inhalation of pesticide residues in one of the private schools were classified as simple, and that they resulted from inhaling the effect of an insecticide, received immediate treatment, and transferred some of them to the hospital, all of them in a comfortable situation.

The police explained that one of the private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah brought in a night of yesterday, one of the pest control companies, and worked to spray the school, but the pesticide residue was affected by some students yesterday morning, and the national ambulance and the concerned authorities were called in, and took immediate measures to inspect the students and give them Necessary remedies, school evacuation of students.

For its part, Sharjah Private Education Authority affirmed its keenness on the safety of students and not tolerating any default that puts students at risk, pointing to strict controls and instructions related to safety requirements in all matters relating to schools and their various facilities.

The General Director of the Sharjah Authority for Special Education, Ali Al Hosani, confirmed that the students who were exposed to fainting as a result of inhaling the smell of pesticides in a private school were transferred to the hospital for treatment, noting that all students were expelled from the school for their safety.

He indicated that immediately after receiving the report, the authority confirmed that the school administration should take all necessary measures for the safety of students, pointing out that the health status of the students is good, and it was confirmed that they received appropriate treatment, and were discharged from the hospital, adding that a monitoring team was formed to follow up and investigate the matter in cooperation with the competent authorities .

He pointed out that the students' health status has been followed up moment by moment, and there are no complications for any student.
