The response of the NABU on the start of the pre-trial investigation after the statement of the deputies of the Ukrainian party “Opposition Platform - For Life” was published by the deputy Rinat Kuzmin.
“A pre-trial investigation was launched on the grounds of a criminal offense, provided for in paragraph 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on the circumstances of the possible legalization of funds due to the seizure of state funds on an especially large scale, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons by abuse of their official position ... Poroshenko P. A., and unidentified persons from his environment, ”the document says on Facebook.
NABU also entered information on a criminal offense in a single register of pre-trial investigations.
Kuzmin claims that former US President Barack Obama is featured in this case.
“NABU has registered and launched an investigation into the theft and legalization by the presidents of Ukraine of Poroshenko and US Obama of $ 100 million of funds for international financial assistance,” he wrote.
Earlier, Poroshenko announced his intention to file 14 lawsuits against the law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies of Ukraine for “compensation for moral harm”.
On January 31, a new interrogation of Poroshenko is expected in the case of the detention of Ukrainian sailors and ships in the Kerch Strait in November 2018 for violating the Russian border.
