Chile declared a state of emergency due to floods

Chilean President Sebastian Pinera declared a state of emergency due to flooding in the north of the country.

It is reported by CNN.

It is noted that five communes in the Atacama region were hit by the elements.

“We will have an emergency operational committee to assess the situation,” the head of state said.

According to him, he has already signed a corresponding decree in order to be able to channel the necessary additional resources to the affected communes.

It was previously reported that 63 people became flood victims in Brazil.
