“We are conducting consultations on the preparation of a resolution that will result in a visit to the Security Council of Mahmoud Abbas in the next two weeks,” TASS quoted Riyad Mansour, Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations.

He noted that the preparation of the draft resolution should be completed by the visit of Abbas to the UN Security Council.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump presented a plan for a peaceful settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The 80-page document provides for the creation of two independent states, including a Palestinian one with a capital in part of East Jerusalem.
