The Fujairah Court of Appeal examined the case of a Gulf man accused of assaulting an (Asian) employee, who works in a hotel in the emirate, because of a water bottle, and decided to reserve the case for judgment until next Tuesday's session.

The details are due to the fact that the accused was an inmate at a hotel in the emirate, called a receptionist at the hotel (the victim) and asked for a water bottle, but he ignored him and did not respond to him, despite his repeated calls, which made him go to him and ask his manager, and when he escaped from Calling his manager encroached on him.

By asking the court’s panel for the accused, he denied the charge attributed to him, saying: “On the National Day holiday, I was wandering from one emirate to another, as I am a resident of Abu Dhabi, and I wanted to participate in the activities of the National Day in the eastern region, and late at night I found that the room I booked was not in it A bottle of water, I called the hotel reception, which is obligated to meet the requests of guests.

"When I called the receptionist, I told him that I was sick with pressure, and he needed to take the medicine and there was no water in the room, so he told me that he would send water bottles, and after an hour passed I did not find any response despite repeated contact, and finally he said that he would not send water because of the heavy crowding that He is suffering, so I went to him and asked him to call his manager, but he ignored the matter, so I lost control of my temper and pulled the tip of his shirt until he paid attention and stopped ignoring me, ”adding that the employee does not complain of any wounds or scratches that prove his abuse.

The defendant indicated that he was supposed to file a lawsuit against the hotel for his mistreatment, because he suffers from high blood pressure, and no one has provided him with a bottle of water to take the medicine.

The accused was suffering from hypertension, and the receptionist asked for a water bottle to take the medicines, but he ignored him.
