Despite the intervention of a dozen firefighters, the drama could not be avoided. Tuesday evening, around 7 p.m. in Saint-Nazaire, a man died after his car fell in the harbor, near the submarine base. According to the departmental fire and rescue service, the victim, who was trapped inside his car, is a 65-year-old man. The firefighters took two hours to get the vehicle out of the water, using a lifting device.

According to the Ouest-France newspaper, the deceased driver had a collision with a man on a motorcycle, a few minutes before falling into the port.
