The Criminal Court of Appeals ruled in the Ras Al Khaimah Court, to reduce the sentence of Khaleeji intentionally killing his wife, from life imprisonment to 15 years imprisonment.

The Court of First Instance ruled that the defendant be imprisoned for life, and obliged him to lead to the heirs of the victim 200 thousand dirhams, legal compensation, and the Public Prosecution appealed the ruling, and demanded that the appellant be punished with death, while obliging him to pay a heavy debt.

The indictment states that the accused intentionally killed his wife by holding her breath with a pillow intended to take her life, causing her injuries, and intentionally setting fire to the dining room to mislead justice and conceal crime evidence.

A witness in the case stated that differences began between the accused and his wife, since the first week of their marriage, and that he used to infringe upon her and tried to strangle her, and deliberately prevented her from visiting her family and not spending on her, which led her to sue him for divorcing her for harm.

She explained that on the day of the incident, a quarrel occurred between the accused and his wife, because she refused to accompany him to visit his family.

The report of the fire expert at the criminal laboratory of the Ras Al Khaimah Police, that the constant of the facts of the analysis of samples, the absence of any material precipitating the fire, and that the fire was by direct open flame (matches or lighter), stressing the impossibility of extending the fire to the piece of cloth found beside the gas stove .

He pointed out that it had been proven from the facts of the wife's correction by the pathologist, that there were no burn marks on the body or carbon deposits with breathing holes, which confirms that she was dead at the time of the fire, and that the fire was fabricated to conceal the crime.

A witness at the Criminal Investigation Department in Ras Al-Khaimah Police stated that the defendant strangled the victim and transported her to the food preparation room, and caused the fire and the removal of surveillance cameras to conceal the crime, as a result of ongoing differences between them, as a result of the scarcity of the defendant's spending on his wife and intense jealousy over her, as the wife previously edited communications Against him for assaulting her body and trying to strangle her.
