"I say to Trump and Netanyahu: Jersualem is not for sale, our rights are not for sale and your plan, your conspiracy, will not be approved," Abbas said.

The Palestinian president made the statement on live television in Ramallah just an hour after the US and Israeli leaders revealed their peace plan.

The peace talks that were made without the Palestinians suggest that Jerusalem should be the capital of Israel, and that the illegal Israeli settlements should be recognized.

"Killed the Opportunities of Two States"

Husam Zomlot, who is a Palestinian envoy in Britain, described the peace plan as a political circus and fraud, CNN writes.

"President Trump just killed the possibilities of a negotiated two-state solution," he told the newspaper.

"It is easy"

According to him, the Palestinians have another plan for how peace is to be achieved.

- The road ahead is well known. Israel has to end its occupation, which began in 1967. It's simple, he said.

Our Swedish Foreign Minister commented on the peace plan that the proposal did not live up to what Sweden and the EU stand for.

- We stand up for international law and UN resolutions, and for peace to be sustainable and fair, both Israel and Palestine's needs must be taken into account. And Palestine must be involved in a negotiation that is rooted in international law, Ann Linde (S) tells SVT.

"Can be a momentum"

She expressed that it was in principle positive that a two-state solution was now mentioned and although the Palestinians do not think this plan can lead anywhere, there is still a possibility that it could lead to the negotiations being reopened.

- It might still be a momentum. When everyone starts talking about it again and when everyone sees that these solutions are not based on international law, then maybe you can start with further talks in a peace process, says the Foreign Minister.
