Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that the US peace plan requires that the proposed Palestinian capital be in the Abu Dis district on the outskirts of Jerusalem.

Netanyahu assured reporters after US President Donald Trump presented his peace plan, that the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel.

Trump released, on Tuesday evening, a map he called a "future Palestine state" based on his peace plan between the Palestinians and Israelis, known in the media as the "Deal of the Century".

The map, which was published in Arabic, English and Hebrew, shows the areas that Israel will annex in the West Bank and includes the Jordan Valley and Israeli settlements in the West Bank in addition to Jerusalem.

Trump posted the map with a tweet in Arabic, saying: "This is what the future state of Palestine might look like with a capital in parts of East Jerusalem."
