“Such a policy can in no way affect the past elections, as well as the return of Crimea to Russia. Such actions can be regarded as another round of agony on the part of the European Union, ”the deputy said.

Shvytkin emphasized that people living in the territory of Crimea “see the economic recovery and all the actions of the Russian government” aimed at improving the situation on the peninsula.

Earlier, the European Union added seven Russians to the sanctions list for Ukraine, responsible, in his opinion, for holding elections in Crimea in September 2019.

Among them are acting governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev and chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk.

Also sanctioned were the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Vladimir Nemtsev and member of the Federation Council Ekaterina Altabaeva.
