January 28, 2020 Panic tonight at the "De La Ville" hotel in via Sistina, in the heart of the capital, where a 25-year-old Ghanaian, after entering the structure, tried to steal inside some bedrooms. Discovered by the hotel staff, it has given rise and therefore the carabinieri of the Radiomobile Center of Rome intervened on the spot.At the arrival of the military the man rushed against him grabbing one of them in the neck. The result was a violent dispute during which the 25-year-old, homeless and with precedents, also bit a carabiniere in the arm. The worst was touched when another soldier attempted to intervene in the scuffle and the man tried to grab the carabiniere's gun.
The weapon, thanks to the anti-tear device, did not come out of the holster. A few moments later, the man now in the grip of a real raptus of violence, was stopped. The two soldiers were instead accompanied to the hospital for the appropriate treatment.
The Ghanaian was arrested for attempted robbery, resistance and injury to a public official. This morning, after the direct trial, the arrest was validated and the judge ordered the precautionary measure in prison pending the psychiatric report.
