It was during a house search last year that police found 351 grams of cocaine, 933.14 grams of cannabis and a loaded revolver in the 23-year-old's apartment. In interrogation, he acknowledged the act and told him that he had been instructed to keep the drug with him in exchange for borrowing a weapon and taking part of the drug for his own use.

Had weapons to defend

The 23-year-old has further stated in interrogation that he had the weapon, which he kept under his bed mattress, in order to defend himself. He has said that he was threatened by a person and that he wore bulletproof vest regularly. It does not consider the district court to be attenuating circumstances and convict him of serious weapons offense because there was a risk that the weapon would be used for criminal purposes.

In its judgment, the Östersund District Court writes that the drug crime should also be considered serious, partly because it was part of an organized drug trade.

Has sold cannabis

In addition to these crimes, the 23-year-old is also sentenced to eleven cases of drug offenses which then involves selling cannabis.

In the same case, another man, even in his lower 20s, was charged with minor drug offenses. He, on the other hand, is acquitted by the district court for lack of evidence.
