04 November 2017The case of Sofia, the girl who died of malaria at the Spedali Civili in Brescia. After being admitted to the hospital in Trento, "we will now have the final report. There has been various research on this, we can exclude that malaria was contracted in a context outside the hospital". Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin remains cautious, returning to the story today in Milan on the sidelines of a collateral event at the G7 Health.

The end of the investigation must be awaited, it is the premise. But speaking of the hypothesis of a contagion occurred in the hospital environment, the minister stresses that "this seems from a certain comforting point of view, because it means that we do not have strains of mosquitoes that are malarial vector. And from this point of view we are all safer". Regarding the case, "the competent authorities will intervene on the hospital in Trento in the most appropriate and appropriate way possible".
