Lina Ben Mhenni was from the beginning when the Arab Spring began in Tunisia and spread like wildfire from country to country in the Middle East.
She exposed President Zine El Abidine Ben Alis and the Tunisian regime's abuse to the whole world with her blog "Tunisian Girl". When the president finally resigned, Ben Mhenni was mentioned as a strong name for the Nobel Peace Prize.
- I'm going to fight until we really have a democratic Tunisia where everyone can live dignified and equal. And where we don't have to see as much poverty as we do now. I want to change things! Lina Ben Mhenni told SVT's News in 2012.
