Health authorities in New South Wales, Southeast Australia, have confirmed a new case of the new coronavirus, which is spreading in China, on Wednesday. The number of infected people in Australia is now five.
The infection was confirmed in a 21-year-old woman attending the University of New South Wales in Sydney.
The woman departed Wuhan, Hubei Province by direct flight this month and arrived at the airport in Sydney on the 23rd, and was later examined at a hospital on the following day that she became ill. On 27th, a new coronavirus infection was confirmed.
According to the college, the woman had not attended college classes since arriving in Sydney, and had avoided contact with people around her after getting sick.
