At only 18 years old, Billie Eilish, with her iconoclastic pop and her dark universe, was crowned "best new artist" Sunday at the Grammy Awards, covering the post the phenomenon Lil Nas X and the rapper Lizzo, champion of the nominations of the 2020 edition.

The teenage prodigy had previously won the "Song of the Year" Grammy for her title "Bad Guy" and that of the best vocal pop album for "When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?".

Even before the release of this album last spring, Billie Eilish had already achieved great success on the internet for his daring pop, marked by heavy bass and mixed with "trap" and electro.

The young woman was only 17 years old when the Grammy nominations were announced in late November.

The Californian artist is among the artists with the highest number of nominations this year, six in total, and has become the youngest to compete in the four major categories.

Her title "Bad Guy" in August made Billie Eilish the first musician born in the 2000s to climb to the top of the American top 100, dethroning Lil Nas X and her 19 week record with her worldwide success "Old Town Road ".

The artist consecrated "woman of the year 2019" by the specialized magazine Billboard also wrote with his brother the official theme of the next part of the adventures of James Bond, "Dying can wait".

Particularly committed to the fight against global warming, she prohibits the use of plastic straws during her shows and encourages her fans to come with their own reusable water bottles.
