A British Muslim named Farid Aziz Fiyadi arrived on Saturday in the northwestern province of Edirne, Turkey, at a stop on his journey to spread peace from Britain to the holy city of Mecca on foot.

Farid was received upon his arrival to the Kishan space in the state by the head of the youth base of the Justice and Development Party in the region Obaidullah Fidan.

In an interview with reporters, Fiyadi stated that his journey from Britain to Mecca started last November, and that he would travel about three thousand and eight hundred kilometers as part of his journey to spread peace.

"I walk for peace, Islam is a religion of peace, and Muslims are there to achieve it, so let us live together for peace ... Turkey is a beautiful example in the world," he said.
