January 27, 2020 The first projection confirms the trend that emerged from the exit polls for the Regionals.

In Emilia Romagna, the center-left candidate, Stefano Bonaccini, has an advantage with 48.2%, ahead of the center-right challenger, Lucia Borgonzoni.
with 45.9%.

The pentastellati collapse: Simone Benini would have 4.3%.

The other candidates: Laura Bergamini (Communist Party) has 0.5%, Domenico Battaglia (3V Movement) has 0.4%, Stefano Lugli (The other Emilia Romagna) 0.4% and Marta Collot (Power to the people ) 0.3%.

Clear success for Santelli in Calabria
In Calabria, Jole Santelli from the center-right is clearly ahead with 50.9%, ahead of the center-left rival, Pippo Callipo, with 30.7%.

Out of the game Carlo Tansi, supported by three civic lists, with 10.9%, and the pentastellato Francesco Aiello with 7.5%.

The figure relates to 6% of the sample.

The turnout
The electoral participation in Emilia Romagna was strong: 67.68% voted, compared to 37.77% of the previous ones (the figure refers to 326 municipalities out of 328). In Calabria, the participation was 44.32%, confirming 44.16% of the previous ones.
