A Hebrew newspaper revealed that the US peace plan - known as the "Deal of the Century" - would include a four-year "preparation period", based on an American conviction that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas would refuse to implement it, but his successor might accept it.

The "Deal of the Century" proposes the establishment of a Palestinian state without an army or sovereignty, on an area of 70% of the West Bank, whose capital may be the town of Shuafat (northeast of Jerusalem).

This came according to what was reported on Sunday by the Yediot Aharonot newspaper, which published what it said were new details of the American peace plan known as the deal of the century, according to what it quoted unnamed Israeli sources.

According to the same source, the plan allows Israel to annex between 30 and 40% of the lands of Area C in the West Bank.

The Oslo Agreement divided the West Bank into three areas: A, B and C, and Block A represent about 18% of the area of the West Bank, and it is controlled by the Palestinian Authority security and administrative, while Area B represents 21%, It is subject to Palestinian civil and Israeli security administration.

As for Area C, which constitutes 61% of the area of the West Bank, it is subject to Israeli security and administrative control, which requires the approval of the Israeli occupation authorities on any Palestinian projects or measures in them.

During the period of preparation for the implementation of the deal of the century, construction will be frozen in all Area C, which is controlled by Israel, which means that Israel can continue settlement activity within the existing settlements without expanding them, according to the same source.

According to the newspaper, the plan provides for the establishment of a Palestinian state on an area of about 70% of the West Bank, including 30% of the territory of Area C.

But the Palestinian state - according to the deal of the century - will be, according to Yedioth Ahronoth, without an army, without control over the airspace and border crossings, and without any authority to conclude agreements with foreign countries.

The US plan proposes the establishment of a "tunnel" between Gaza and the West Bank that will serve as a "safe passage".

"Yediot" said that there is talk about a "very sensitive issue that has not yet been discussed by the Israeli security system, given the possibility of using the aforementioned tunnel to" transport weapons or wanted persons.

The "Deal of the Century" demands that the Palestinian Authority restore control of the Gaza Strip and disarm the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Islamic Jihad, according to the Israeli report.

The American plan keeps 15 isolated settlements under Israeli sovereignty, despite the absence of a geographical connection for these settlements with Israel. Israel also demands the evacuation of sixty illegal outposts in which about three thousand settlers live.

According to the newspaper, the deal of the century stipulates that the occupied city of Jerusalem be maintained under the sovereignty of Israel, including the Noble Sanctuary and the holy sites jointly administered by Israel and the Palestinians.

The plan does not provide for the partition of Jerusalem, but the Palestinians will receive everything that is outside the boundaries of the separation wall surrounding the holy city, according to the same source.

The century deal proposes fifty billion dollars to finance projects in the areas designated for the establishment of the Palestinian state.

According to Yediot Aharonot, sources close to the White House said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman would be among others in the Gulf who pledged to the Americans to provide the required amount.
