Searches for a missing woman in Staffelfelden, a town north of Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin), took place throughout the day. But when the police found the victim, it was too late.

His lifeless body was discovered in the Thur, a tributary of the Ill, by a group of villagers who joined the research, according to France 3 Grand Est.

She had left home in a dressing gown

Aged 62 and resident of the town, the victim had been wanted since early morning. Her husband had reported her disappearance around 6:30 a.m.

She would have left her home at night in a dressing gown and without any means of communication. It was the town hall, which had published a search notice on its Facebook page, who announced the terrible news on social networks.

A judicial investigation has been opened to shed light on the circumstances of the tragedy.
