The Frenchwoman Anaïs Bescond took Sunday 3rd place in the mass start of Pokljuka counting for the Biathlon World Cup and won by the Swedish Hanna Oeberg.

Bescond, already 3rd in the Individual Friday and winner of the mixed single relay on Saturday with Emilien Jacquelin, ended his week in Slovenia in style with this new podium. Impeccable in shooting (20/20), the triple Olympic medalist (32 years old) was beaten by Oeberg and the Italian Lisa Vittozzi.

In the absence of the Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff, leader of the World Cup and forfeited due to illness, Oeberg signed his first victory of the season, the 4th of his career.

Justine Braisaz was the other Frenchwoman to stand out with a 5th place despite 3 rifle errors.

This mass start was the last race before the World Championships in Anterselva (Italy) from February 13 to 23.
