“At 13.00 (sah) the duty officer of the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in the Sakhalin Region received information that a crack had formed in the area of Svobodny metro in the Mordvinova Bay,” the message on the website of the Ministry of Emergencies in the region says.
It is noted that about 600 fishermen are cut off from the coast.
18 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 14 pieces of equipment were involved in rescue operations, the Mi-8 helicopter is ready for take-off.
Earlier, on Sakhalin, in the Mordvinov Gulf, an ice floe broke off the coast, on which about three hundred people were fishing. All of them were saved, no one was hurt.
