A man and a woman of about sixty years old were found dead by bullet Friday evening on the parking lot of a residence in Billy-Montigny (Pas-de-Calais), one learned from concordant sources. The two victims, found on the ground near the Marcel-Cachin residence, had already died when the firefighters arrived, alerted at around 10:00 p.m.

"All hypotheses are open," said the Béthune prosecution, which opened an investigation into intentional homicide, entrusted to the departmental security of Lens. A weapon was found on the spot. The ongoing investigations must in particular verify whether the two victims, born in 1959, were in a relationship, whether they lived there or not, whether one of them shot the other before committing suicide or if there is had third party intervention.

According to the prosecution, it was residents who gave the alert when they heard gunshots.
