Chinese President Xi Jinping said that his country is facing a dangerous situation during a meeting of the Political Bureau to discuss ways to combat the spread of the new Corona virus, which is stationed in the central city of Wuhan, at a time when Jordan, the United States and France intend to evacuate their citizens from Wuhan.

On Saturday, state television quoted the Chinese president as saying during the Lunar New Year holiday that the country was facing a "dangerous situation", as the Coruna virus "was spreading rapidly."

The official TV report stated that resources and specialists in specific hospitals will be concentrated to treat severe cases, with no delay in treatment due to cost, and that supplies will be provided to Hubei Province and its capital, Wuhan.

Local media said today, Saturday, that the Chinese capital, Beijing, will stop all buses between the provinces from January 26, to curb the spread of the new Corona virus. The reports did not give a date for the resumption of service.

During the last few hours, China intensified its efforts to contain the emerging corona virus, isolating more than forty million people on Friday, while canceling ceremonies scheduled for Saturday to mark the Lunar New Year, and closed popular sites received.

The official death toll of the virus, which appeared in December in a market in Wuhan, has been doubled Saturday, with 41 deaths confirmed in China from about 1,300 people infected in the country.

Jordan
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi announced on Saturday that his country asked the Chinese authorities to allow it to evacuate its citizens residing in the city of Wuhan.

Al-Safadi wrote in a tweet on Twitter that "the ministry is constantly following and communicating with the Chinese authorities and with our children, we asked to allow the evacuation of our citizens and we will do so as soon as the Chinese authorities have imposed a quarantine on the city and prevented entry to it or the exit of any of them." He added, "There are no injuries between Our citizens, praise be to God, and we are doing everything available, no one has been evacuated. "

For his part, the official spokesman for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, affirmed, in a statement, that "the Ministry is following the conditions of Jordanian citizens and students residing in Wuhan through the Jordanian embassy in the People's Republic of China, after the spread of the Corona virus."

The ministry continuously follows up and communicates with the Chinese authorities and our children. We asked to allow the evacuation of our citizens, and we will do so as soon as the Chinese authorities, who have imposed a quarantine on the city and prevented anyone from it or leaving any of it, agreed. Al-Fayez did not indicate the total number of the Jordanian community in Wuhan, China, but pointed out that "the embassy has restricted the students numbering about one hundred, as well as Jordanian nationals located in Hubei Province and its capital, Wuhan."

Al-Fayez called for Jordanians residing in China and in Wuhan city, "to adhere to the precautionary instructions and guidelines announced by the Chinese authorities, precautionary measures, avoid crowded areas to avoid infection, and communicate with the Jordanian embassy in Beijing."

United State
On the other hand, the Wall Street Journal reported today, Saturday, that the United States is arranging for a charter flight on Sunday to return American citizens and diplomats from the Chinese city of Wuhan, which is the center of the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

The newspaper quoted a person familiar with the process as saying that the plane, which will carry about 230 people, will return diplomats from the US consulate, American citizens and their families.

The newspaper reported that Washington obtained approval for the operation from the Chinese Foreign Ministry and other government agencies, after negotiations in the past few days.

She added that the United States also plans to temporarily close its consulate in Wuhan.

France
Today, quoting an e-mail from the French consulate, the South China Morning Post reported that France intends to evacuate the stranded French citizens as a result of the closure imposed by the Chinese government in Wuhan after the spread of the new Corona virus.

"The Consulate General intends - in cooperation with the local authorities - a bus service to allow French citizens, their Chinese and foreign wives and their children, to travel from Wuhan to Changsha," the message said.
