Soon the film team from Umeå will gather in the angler country Kullberg to follow the annual moose walk in real time.

The wandering moose lean towards a millennial tradition. The film team, on the other hand, is small, but state-of-the-art. Only two people handle the entire broadcast, but there will be more cameras than last year: 20 robotic cameras, five-six fixed cameras and a camera with human photographer.

The film team also plans to expand the broadcast to be able to show more animals and bird species in the area.

looking Success

Last year's live broadcast started on SVT play on April 15. The goal was to depict how hundreds of moose take the same path as they have done for thousands of years.

The moose walk was broadcast live around the clock on SVT play and proved to be an audience success.

- It was almost up to five million streamed hours on SVT play. I do not think SVT play has participated in this before, says Johan Erhag, project manager from SVT Umeå.

This fall, production was praised with the TV award Kristallen in the category "Innovation of the Year / innovator".

Interest from abroad

Already there is interest from several other countries such as Finland, Norway, Denmark Germany and Japan.

It could be an international broadcast this year.

- We have been in contact with the Germans, so we can see what we can find, that would be great fun, says Johan Erhag.

Shipping in April

From April 15 to May 3, the broadcast is scheduled to continue.

- There could be an extension if demand exists and if there are moose remaining in the area.

So now there will be a chance for those who missed this year's "slow-TV" from the anglerland forests.

- It's just to hope that the audience is with us again and to succeed in attracting even more viewers who want to see this, Johan Erhag.
