A Turkish crew managed to rescue a woman named Aziza, who made a phone call from under the rubble with an ambulance worker, 17 hours after the earthquake in the east of the country.

Anatolia correspondent reported that the woman was rescued from the rubble of a collapsed house in Mustafa Pasha neighborhood of Alazig state, after spending 17 hours in the rubble.

Ambulance teams transported the injured woman to the hospital, to show that she was the citizen Aziza, who had contacted an ambulance employee broadcast live on Turkish channels.

The paramedic managed to direct Aziza, who was stuck under the rubble with others, and she spoke with her to guide her.

The paramedic provided Aziza with details of the steps she and the rest of those near her under the rubble had to take until the teams arrived.

She also called on her to be strong and stand up without crying and to provide the information she got to other people in a calm manner.

On Friday evening, an earthquake hit eastern and southeastern Turkey, according to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, Avad, and was felt by residents of neighboring countries.

And Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu announced that the earthquake killed 22 people, including 18 in Alazig state, and 4 in the state of Malatya.
