She pointed out that these academies guarantee the provision of national competencies in important specializations related to the country's agenda and future plans that are concerned with the quality of educational outcomes.

The Ministry said, in statements to «Emirates Today», that 1397 students enrolled in the current academies for the academic year 2019-2020, stressing that its plan aims to raise the number of students enrolled in academies, to reach 4,500 students within three years.

The Ministry affirmed that the academies support their educational vision and plans, which aim to prepare exceptional generations capable of meeting the needs of the state in a number of vital specialties, and diversifying specialized learning paths to enable students of contemporary skills.

The Ministry opened the «Aircraft Maintenance» Academy, with the beginning of the second semester of this year, within the Emirates school system, and the academy targets the third cycle students from the ninth grade to the 12th grade, to provide a high-level education that meets the needs of the labor market in the aviation sector, where the Academy offers a curriculum Practical, consistent and efficient depends on the competency, to ensure that students are provided with the professional expertise and basic life skills that help in preparing the student to continue the course of progress and development, in the fields of higher education and the aviation sector in the country, and the Academy also keeps pace with the requirements The economic agenda within the national plan for 2021, to build a society of knowledge economy in the United Arab Emirates.

The Ministry inaugurated the Aircraft Maintenance Academy, in its first stage, in five schools in the country, namely: Khalifa bin Zayed School in Abu Dhabi, the only school in Dubai, the Ruqaya School in Sharjah, and the schools of Ras Al Khaimah for Boys and Al Hudaiba in Ras Al Khaimah, and the Ministry set conditions for admission of students within the academy, It is to be a citizen of the UAE, as well as pass the written test, which includes mathematics and the English language, and pass the personal interview, provided that the student’s attendance rate is not less than 90% in the eighth grade, while achieving the full degree of behavior in the eighth grade as well.

The Ministry also opened the Academy of "Health Sciences" at the Zayed Educational Complex in the Al-Suyouh area in Sharjah, and the Al-Samha School in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and welcomed the students with the start of the second semester, and the Academy targets in its first stage students in the ninth grade.

The vision of the Academy is to prepare and prepare students for enrollment in the various fields of health care, as it aims to achieve that vision by providing theoretical and practical education for its affiliates, in order to prepare them for higher education specializations in this field.

The Ministry has developed a number of specialized curricula to enable academic students to complete their studies after their graduation, including biology, human anatomy and physiology, as well as first aid, nutrition, physiotherapy and pharmacology, with the aim of providing students with the principles of health sciences, and for future launch in this field, adding It is possible for students of the Academy of Health Sciences, in addition to their studies at the Academy, to study basic subjects within the general track, which is one of the paths of the Emirati school.

The Academy of "Food Science and Control" integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills, as students learn to use basic technical skills through sensory evaluation and the application of experiments in practical laboratories, and they also have the opportunity to test the work environment through training in national institutions concerned in this field.

The Ministry indicated that the doors for full registration will be opened on February 28, interviews will be held on March 8, and acceptance letters will be sent on the 23rd of the same month.

The Ministry inaugurated the Academy of "Creative Arts" at the beginning of the current academic year, and its vision is to enable Emirati students to enhance their creativity, in line with the Emirati school model, which focuses on developing students' skills and their ability to communicate and innovate.

The Ministry indicated that the Agricultural Academy initially included three schools in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Ras Al Khaimah, and then expanded at the beginning of the current academic year to 13 agricultural science academies throughout the country.
